Writing Essays - The Key to Writing Success

Writing Essays - The Key to Writing SuccessFor many students, essays are the most difficult part of college. They begin by preparing their own essay on a topic they have studied and learned about in school, and then they spend many hours doing research, writing it, editing it, and revising it until it finally comes out as a masterpiece.Unfortunately, just because a student has prepared an excellent essay does not mean that the reader will be impressed. Reading an essay is very different from listening to a lecture. The reader listens and then tries to understand the ideas that were conveyed to them through the speaker's voice. Some college students spend far too much time writing. They spend so much time trying to produce the best essay possible that they forget to pay attention to the readers who are reading their essay. It is far more important to give your essay to an editor than to your college professor.College students are more likely to respond positively to an essay that is we ll-written, or at least appears to be. The first paragraph should introduce the essayist in the reader's mind as someone who is thoughtful and intelligent. The tone and style of the essay should suggest a person who has thought things through. No one wants to read a quick and unoriginal 'hey, take a look what I wrote, you should have a better one coming' because this is the type of essay that the college professor will be writing. In addition, college students will also love a well-written essay that has a personal touch. They will know that the writer cares about them and is trying to express themselves to the college reader. That type of feeling will make them feel happy. It is impossible to overstate the importance of a well-written college essay. However, a lot of students give up on writing because they think that it is an easy task. Many students struggle with grammar, spelling, and even sub-par grammar. A well-written essay does not necessarily mean that the reader has excellen t grammar skills. In fact, the opposite is true.Essays can also be the toughest to write. While one may have thought that they just write about themselves, some may find that their stories and experiences will always be omitted in their college work. Although they may never admit it, sometimes it may be necessary to include other people in the essay. This is not only important for the student who wants to write a literary masterpiece but it also allows for the reader to be challenged by the writer's writing style. For example, if the writer's essay focuses on life and sports, then they may want to include as many sports as possible. Sports writers often write the same article over again, and this can bog down an essay. It is important to realize that every college student does not have the same writing style or have the same writing ability. Sometimes the best way to write an essay is to write it without style and by ear.
